What is participatory research? How does it differ from participatory action research (PAR)? How do feminism and feminist methodological principles influence both? What are the challenges, and dilemmas of using these methodologies? What are the ethical obligations of researchers using these methodologies? How do I determine if my research is participatory? The workshop will address these fundamental questions using multiple ways of learning. Participants are asked to bring short abstracts of their research design, questions regarding the methodology, and/or dilemmas and challenges they have or are facing.
